'The Fleet' - Handcrafted Brass Necklace
 
Fleet: a group of ships sailing together, engaged in the same activity, or under the same ownership.
 
When I created 'The Vessel' necklace, it was inspired by my story of pain, struggle, and loss, and my testimony of being found and becoming a daughter of the Most High.
 
This necklace was inspired by a dear friend who loved 'The Vessel' but wanted something bigger.
 
When I was making it, I imagined a group of fishing vessels moored side-by-side. I was in one boat and, as I looked out, saw my sister's in Christ in theirs.
 
Although each of us had begun our journey at different times, from various places, and under different circumstances...we now find ourselves returning home to the same sheltered harbor for rest.
 
In my mind's eye, we were all diligently working on repairs: plugging leaks, mending sails, and replacing broken lines. When we weren't working, we were sharing stories and being refreshed in each other's company.
 
We may have started our journeys alone, but we are steadily growing in number.
 
Once individual vessels, we are in the process of becoming a mighty fleet.
