When I found this little piece of teal blue leather, it was a sure sign that summer is close at hand.
 
Summer on the Canadian Prairies is fast and furious. Here, the shoulder seasons are quick gateways between two extremes: frigid winters, and hot summers. This yearly 80° temperature swing is not for the faint of heart. Prairie folks are hardy people, and when summertime finally arrives, we embrace it wholeheartedly.
