
'FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENTS'
weekly online physical fitness classes
Corey Jill has been teaching since 2007, and has a passion for helping people to move with greater freedom, ease, and strength... especially as we age. She is a former yoga teacher and studio owner (with 16-years experience), who has shifted into teaching Functional Movements classes (since 2022).
Functional movements are those that mimic real life activities and involve multiple joints and muscle groups working together. They focus on whole body movements, like: squatting, lunging, reaching, balancing, lifting + carrying, and getting down and up off the floor.
These classes are good for ALL level of students.

I have been studying the importance of strength training: before, during, and after menopause... and have been blown away by what I've learned. With changing hormone levels, strength training is the key to maintaining a vibrant musculoskeletal system: the vital framework of bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage, which provide support, stability, and movement to the body.
In The Joy of Movement, we will focus on cultivating a more lighthearted and easeful approach to practice.
Each 60-minute class will be divided into 3x 20-minute sections:

a warm-up + core stabilization
-
strength + mobility
-
stretching
Breaking up the class in this way will give you more freedom with your home practice, allowing you to do the whole class, or individual sections, depending on your needs and the time you have to available.
(Props: dumbbells, resistance bands, broom handles, chairs, blocks, blankets, and some wall space)

ALL students will receive the Zoom link to join the live weekly class.

Each week, ALL students will receive a new video class link via email, which can be accessed on YouTube.

Over the 10-week session, you will have UNLIMITED access to this growing library of class, which you can do anytime, from anywhere.
My goal is to get you moving with greater ease, confidence, and strength.
